microgeens- A wise vitality solution

Microgreens (micro greens) are nutrient dense vegetable greens (not to be confused with sprouts) produced from vegetables, herbs or other plants, and are harvested just after the first leaves have developed. They are typically grown or purchased by people focused on nutrition because of their wide variety and high levels of vitamins, minerals, polyphenols and antioxidants. They can be used as both a fresh visual and flavor component, that are primarily found in fine dining and farm-to-table restaurants. Chefs use colorful microgreens to enhance the attractiveness and taste of their dishes with distinct delicate textures and unique flavors. Microgreens are smaller than “baby greens”, but harvested later than sprouts. Among grocers, they are now considered a specialty genre of greens, good for eating on their own, or for garnishing salads, soups, sandwiches, and any other kind of plates.
